
The Golden Lion is located in the beautiful historic village of Corbridge, Northumberland. It was originally built as a Stabling Inn in the 18th century. Built from materials from nearby Dilston Hall it is a grade 2 listed building. It is 5 miles north of Corstopitum- the ancient Roman supply depot for the Roman soldiers who defended Hadrian's Wall.
We are only 4 miles from the market town of Hexham, perfect for those visiting Hadrian's Wall, Hexham Abbey, Aydon Castle and Hexham Race Course.
In our recently refurbished bar/restaurant, we offer a welcoming dining experience for couples, families and foodies with homemade food carefully prepared from locally sourced ingredients and a wide range of wines, cask ales and spirits. Food is available from 12-9pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday lunch from 12-5. on Sundays. Dogs are also welcome in the bar area.
We have a variety of live entertainment on every Saturday night from 9.30pm till 12am
